John the Baptist was faithful to his calling , not like Solomon , or John mark or Demas , the LORD JESUS spoke well of John Matthew 11 v 7 – 11 , John spoke well of the true messiah Matthew 3 v 11 – 17 , if you read all the bible text of John his life was impeccable , like Daniel who set his face always to please God ,
Johns message was very clear and lived up to his preaching , John did not have a double life preach one thing live another the very fact he told on one account that the king was not to go with his brothers wife Matthew 14 v 4 Mark 6 v 18 showed John put God 1st in everything , John would not compromise with the world , knowing Herod was a very tetris man , the direct opposite to John the baptist, Solomon that many try to imitate, who started off well but fell into compromise one after the other like John mark or Demas , it just ruins the testimony , Solomon fell into a backsliding state , the majority will not live like John, but Solomon was not a happy man after all said and done , and many will deny the hard fact the Old Testament times was known as a time how God tested Israel as a Nation , because He loved them , but this all changed after Christ Arose , if only you reading this would consider the devoted life of John the baptist you might well help your brethren in Christ instead of Groping with the world, the life of John was a positive one, i cant this of Solomon and those who chose to intimate him , what do you dear brother / sister count so very dear; so costly, so very special, to keep you happy ? ? ? money / assets / wealth ,
John had far less than Solomon or John mark or Demas but was a happy man and have you noticed the high commendations of John in the N T , but not Solomon , if anything is clear Solomon brought about division that’s still here but John the baptist taught Christ and Christ alone and Christ never taught division on temporary things to do with this life , John did not waste his time on building an empire or womanzing or wealth , Solomon left a class distinction society that many go with , while John preached Christ only Christ and Christ spoke of much better things that Solomon should have known of and lived by , many before Solomon did set very good examples and John did just that , its well noting that Solomon has two applications 1 the reign of Christ that’s to come no doubt whatsoever , while some want to live in self-indulgence that according to the N T has no bearing or authority, the main problem is those who follow the attitude of Solomon are condoning, his backsliding and worldly condition , and traditions and customs are to a large extent babylon, that can not be advocated from the NT and was not even allowed of God at that time,
John lived lightly and all who claim to follow JESUS are called the same way , how can a person be focusing on heavenly things if trying to live like a king is ridiculous, only when JESUS comes to reign the saints will reign with Him, now is out of character of NT teaching John taught us to live a godly sober life , not as kings but as servants towards Christ and JESUS set the finest example who came from glory , left behind His reputation took up a life of bond slave gave Himself for us, now seated at GODS right hand
you know this at CHRIST judgment seat which all and ever person saved, will have to give an account for the things we done or bought , no brother sister will gain awards that lived on earth selfish lives by buying the best cloths , homes , cars / tec gadgets, but such who plead at that judgment will lose rewards for eternity , such who life the high life now will live into eternity on low key while John the baptist / Lazarus found in Luke 16 will honoured above those who persist claiming to live like Solomon, even though He was born again, never got back into fellowship with God , he started off well but did not finish well , not a record or reputation to follow , we not saved by how we live, but the big but is it will have an major impact at the judgment seat of CHRIST and how we will serve and live into eternity, we can lose rewards just by, living like kings that we not called to but to live for a rejected LORD JESUS.
