there is no indication in the NT that John the baptist or the LORD JESUS or early disciples baptised babies , infants or young children,
the idea of doing so is religious observance, to baptist under 5 years of age is very unlikely proven to be saved , more like 7 – 10 is far better but about age 15 is still better , its very easy to live with both believing parents to profess a interest in the gospel , its another to prove that to friends and teachers at school and nearbours , young can say things they dont mean on long term , and forcing them can stumble them and thousands of others , surely believers baptism is GODS way , and well before any baptism a series of meeting should be held to know of evidence of being saved , the main problem of baptizing very young is they can ask to break bread which is not right if not saved ,
and any baptism is a public declaration, not a thing to be done in secret, and i would caution on breaking bread till about 15 plus
please read Matthew 28 v 19 – Luke 3 v 21a – Romans 6 v 3 – Acts 19 v 5 Galatians 3 v 27 , i hope you find this short memo helpful,
if not please say why
when a young person has read the four gospels more than once a few times and Genesis – Proverbs – Ecclesiastes – Daniel and the whole bible , as times moves on and agrees with all is a very good indication that person is saved.
